Na styczniowej konferencji Blockchain London największym zainteresowaniem cieszyły się:
t0.com – mający potencjalnie zastąpić giełdy akcji i papierów wartościowych albo je znacząco usprawnić
appliedblockchain.com – czyli zespół programistów budujący zarówno prywatne blockchainy jak i aplikacje działające na największym i najbardziej znanym blockchainie Bitcoinowym (nie mylić z prywatną firmą będącą dostawcą portfeli online blockchain dot info)
Poprosiłem kilku uczestników o komentarze. Oto najciekawsze z nich:
What do you expect from blockchain in 2016-2017?
Services and applications based on private blockchains and consortiums will thrive with less talk /theory and more real products and actual revenues being generated. The technical gaps will start to be filled around zero knowledge proofs and secure distributed storage (could 2016 be the year of IPFS?) to complement the blockchain ledger and smart contracts.
Where and what is the future of bitcoin?
Bitcoin will continue to struggle to gain any real momentum with the the general population until products and services make it as simple and the misconceived perception becomes less associated with drug crime and theft. Educating the public is key and it may be that total abstraction from bitcoin is needed.
Looking forward beyond the next few years the world economic and social outlook is unstable with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Banks are no longer trusted by their customers but they have little alternative. The social injustices of wealth today may lead to an economic revolution where bitcoin could be at the forefront bring in a new era where we all trade directly with each other and the world wealth is shared by all and controlled by the population. Its many years away but the technology behind bitcoin can help make the world a fairer place for all.
Which „around blockchain” App/Technology is the most interesting in your opinion and why? (Ethereum, Factom, Augur, Dash…?)
As a technologist at heart, Ethereum Smart Contracts still remains the most promising and interesting blockchain technology but it is only part of a bigger picture. Saying that IPFS is set to change the way we store data and could truly revolutionize data storage and the internet.
What do you think on the news about Emercoin and Microsoft?
While Emercoin has some great assets and concepts the Blockchain-as-a-Service (Baas) approach Microsoft is taking with Azure can only ever be used for development. Anyone truly concerned about security would never put blockchain nodes in a central cloud structure as the cloud provider services could have access to a majority of nodes making 51% attacks a real possibility, its like creating a decentralized solution and then running it on one physical computer.

Tallysticks – this is one the first real world applications to go live in a real business environment (not just PoC, or technology for the sake of technology).
Ethereum – one of most interesting, ground breaking, and ambitious computer science projects of our time.
What do you think on the news about Emercoin and Microsoft?
Noise. Microsoft is offering Linux containers (just like Amazon, IBM). All these companies are doing is creating a pre-configured image of their software on a Linux instance hosted by Microsoft, and making an announcement. Technically there’s nothing interesting or difficult in that.

Mysle ze w obecnym roku mozemy sie spodziewac powolnego odkrywania kart przez duze banki angielskie takie jak np Barclays, gdzie srodowisko bedzie dostawalo sygnaly ze banki wchodza w blokchainy wraz z implementacja, czy bedzie to, jak do tej pory, opowiadanie o budzecie wraz ze ‘zmiana’ ktora nadchodzi.
O przyszłości bitcoina:
2. W branzy finansowej mozna zauwazyc szersza akceptowalnosc bitcoina, ale widac tez, ze procz startupow, wzrost popularnosci i uzywalnosci bitcoina przestal byc wykladniczy. Nie widze jak na razie mozliwosci zastapienia walut takich jak dollar, yen czy yuan.
O najciekawszych aplikacjach/systemach około blockchainowych:
Z wymienionych firm najzyczliwszym okiem patrze sie na Factom, z prostej racji – uzywalnosci technologii przez nie tylko duze firmy prywante ale I tez panstwowe – ministerstwa czy sluzby zdrowia danych krajow. Implementacja tych technologii przez ‘duzych’ da zatwierdzenie do szerokiego zastosowania. Podoba mi sie rowniez pomysl Abry – gdzie blockchainy sa uzywane do obiegu pieniadza.
